Kamloops Sports Council
About Us

How We Got Started
In 1990, the Kamloops Sports Council held their first official meeting, laying the ground work for a unified sport advocacy group. The vision was clear: to promote communication, development, education and participation in sport throughout the greater Kamloops area.
As a non-profit society, the Kamloops Sports Council is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from September to June. Two founding members Barb Warsimage and Carolynn Boomer continue to serve on the Board to this day, demonstrating enduring commitment to the organization mission.
