This is a FREE one-day athlete identification camp designed to test athletes’ capacity for sport performance at its highest level. The Canadian Sport Institute has been implementing the PODIUM SEARCH™ program within BC for the past 5 years in efforts to find great athletes and potentially our next National Champions & Olympians!
PacificSport Interior BC hosted one of these events 4 years ago in Kamloops. Recently a partnership through the Canadian Olympic Foundation was secured for two National sponsors to expand this program Nationally. This new national program is called RBC Training Ground.
Each athlete goes through a set of basic physiological tests plus one or two sport-specific tests conducted by world-class sport performance experts in order to find out how they measure up to National Team standards. Select athletes, who achieve certain benchmarks, from this Regional Qualifier will be invited to compete at the RBC Training Ground Main Event Final in Richmond, BC, at the Olympic Oval, on March 4th!
