Coached by the late Ev Miller the 1972/73 North Kamloops Kinsmen Bantam Hockey team became the first Kamloops based team to earn a medal at the Kamloops International Bantam Ice Hockey Tournament (KIBIHT). The Kinsmen won Silver medal in the ‘B’ Event. Members of the team are: Cliff Chapman, Mike Urquhart, David Lussier, Brad MacDonald, Greg Hermiston, Laurie Nordstrom, Bob Gunson, Nick Pivak (Manager), Rod Danchuck, Dean Hurdman, Doug Elliot, Rick Moore, Glen Blodell, Doug Boechler, Grant Reid, Mike Park, Denis Poelzer and Tom Jurista.
